General Description

Position Summary


Within established policies and procedures, the Parts and Warehouse Associate works in partnership with the Warehouse Supervisor, Hospitality Manager and Service Fleet Manager to cooperatively support the Catering/Facility operations and is accountable to assist in providing safe, effective, efficient, and organized warehouse activities and delivery of parts and supplies. Typical duties include parts pickup and delivery within Edmonton and area, as well as delivery of supplies and staff to camps throughout Alberta. Shipping and receiving of products, materials and equipment by hand, pallet jack, dolly and forklift; completing established forms; daily cleaning of the warehouse;  parking lot maintenance, waste removal and related cleaning/sanitizing and labouring duties. During peak season, flexibility in shifts, days and hours worked is required.


  • Demonstrates familiarity with the Right Choice Camps & Catering Safety Program; complies with all safety legislation, policies, standards, procedures and reporting requirements.  Actively participates in meetings and consistently works in a safe manner for the health and safety of oneself, coworkers, contractors and subcontractors.


  • Comply with safety policies, procedures of Occupational Health & Safety Act, and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) in the storage, handling and movement of product.


  • Safe driving practices. Determine the most efficient delivery route on a daily basis, prior to loading product. Pickup and delivery of parts within Edmonton and surrounding areas. Delivery of parts and employees to camps located throughout Alberta.


  • Loading/unloading product(s) from company vehicle, using proper care and safe handling procedures.


  • Transport product returns back to our facility as required.


  • Perform regular vehicle inspections and upkeep of the interior cleanliness of the vehicle.


  • Assist with order picking inside the warehouse


  • Following direction of the Warehouse Supervisor, regularly ships, receives and stocks groceries and other products/materials/equipment in a safe manner, completing inventory forms as directed.


  • With a focus on teamwork, communicates in a cooperative and effective manner and reports discrepancies, problems, concerns, ideas and recommendations in all matters related to the warehouse operations and job duties to the Warehouse Supervisor and/or Hospitality Manager.


  • Assists in preventive maintenance and service as required.



  • On a daily basis, ensures the warehouse and all associated areas are maintained in a safe, clean and orderly fashion. Ensures that the parking area, sidewalks and related areas are maintained daily, including snow removal, sanding, sweeping, waste removal etc. Complete daily, weekly and monthly cleaning schedules as directed.


  • Stocks shelves and completes documentation towards accurate weekly and monthly inventory.



Parts and Warehouse Associate


  • As directed by the Warehouse Supervisor, assists in the preparation of facility start up kits, ensuring that all required product and equipment is complete, documented and packaged. 


  • As directed by the Warehouse Supervisor, assists in receiving, unloading, storing and returning all facility Shutdown products and equipment in a properly handled fashion. 


  • Demonstrates a professional manner and service orientation to all on site personnel and external customers and service providers.


  • Other duties as required.


Working Conditions and Physical Demands


  • Industrial building with regular exposure to adverse environmental conditions including; fluctuations in temperature/air circulation, noise, dust, heights, and congested areas (facility startups and shutdowns) as typically found in camp and catering warehouses. Exposure to a variety of hazards and equipment normally found within a warehouse environment.


  • Regular, moderate and occasional heavy physical demands including lifting up to 50 lbs, pushing and pulling pallet jack/dolly loads, bending, loading and unloading a variety of materials (coordinated and awkward positions), shoveling, sweeping and climbing ladders.


  • A valid Alberta driver’s license, class 4 (clean abstract) is required.

GODI (General Oilfield Driver Improvement) is preferred.


  • Completion of high school diploma/GED is required.


  • 1 - 2 years of parts/warehousing work experience, preferably in camp/catering environment.


  • Strong communication, time management, organizational skills; with accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to work well in a fast paced and physically demanding environment.


  • A strong team player with a cooperative, approachable, professional, mature and responsible customer service orientation.


  • Basic use of general office equipment and MS Office software is preferred.



  • Required:  Alberta Food Safe & Hygiene; Forklift Safety & Operation Certification; Safe chemical handling (WHMIS); Standard First Aid;
