General Description

Right Choice Camps & Catering (RCCC) is seeking culinary personnel to join our remote teams. RCCC is interested in those individuals who can bring an attitude of "can do", individuals who belief in a safe work environment and possess a positive attitude along with an outgoing personality.

Culinary employees must possess Food Safe Certification (training is available) and will work in work friendly environment. General tasks include but are not limited too; preparing food products, recipe designs, thorough kitchen cleaning, and safe work practices.

Room and board provided while in remote facilities.


  • Reports to the facility Chef or 1st Cook
  • Rotation of stock as per HACCP and company approved methods; using the First In First Out method (FIFO)
  • Prepares Sandwich protection sheets daily and ensures all sandwiches are date coded and fresh.
  • Personal time sheet


Daily Tasks

  • Prepares sandwiches for bagged lunches using a variety of fillings and breads
  • Cuts vegetables, wraps pastries and has other snack items readily available
  • Cleans, peels, slices and trims foodstuffs using manual and electric appliances
  • Prepares and serves clients at steam tables, as needed
  • Maintains general cleanliness of kitchen
  • Sweeps and mops floors, as required
  • Chef/1st Cook to discuss sandwich preparation and production strategy
  • Oversee the daily preparation, production, handling, storage, rotation and serving of all sandwiches
  • Produce sufficient quantities of a variety of sandwiches as per client and company approved menus
  • Oversee the daily preparation of all items in sandwiches, production including sliced meats, fillings, vegetables, crudites, hardboiled eggs, etc.
  • Responsible for handling an assortments of meats;
  • Defrost all stock required for upcoming sandwich preparation according to approved HACCP methods and safety procedures
  • Ensure that work area is kept clean at all times and assist with the cleaning of general kitchen area
  • The ability to produce up to 600 sandwiches in a 12 hour shift
  • Other reasonable duties as assigned


  • Emotional maturity, able to handle stress and demonstrates professionalism
  • Be able to build collaborative relationships
  • Consistently demonstrate a positive "can-do" attitude with all employees and facility guests
  • Minimum of 1 year culinary experience
  • Advanced Food Safe certification and WHMIS preferred (training can be provided)
  • Must be literate in the English language with reading and writing competency
  • Must be able to operate production equipment
  • Positive attitude and outgoing personality are essential



  • Works in a safe and responsible manner
  • Belief in a safety first work environment
  • Writes an FLHA daily
  • Has a complete understanding of WHMIS
  • Has a complete understanding of Food Safe
  • Must be able to lift up to 23 kg/50 lbs.
  • Must be literate in the English language with reading and writing competency
  • Must be able to operate production equipment
  • Must maintain personal cleanliness and hygiene throughout the shift
